Lunchlezing: Sioux Mathware
In this lecture we will discuss a project done by Sioux. There was an open question to “optimize waste collection in Amsterdam”, which Sioux got to work on. During the project, several things came up to discussion. For example, we had to make a filling degree model of the waste containers, and then do a route optimization over the waste containers. The first one is especially interesting for physicists, because what they did there was describing a dynamic system using data: which is close to physics. This overview will highlight what it is like to work as a mathematical/technical consultant at Sioux Mathware.
